The first facial injections took place in 1950 with fluid silicon. Different filling products were used afterwards such as collagen in 1970, autologous fat and hyaluronic acids.
Expectations were always the same, improving tolerance, skin revitalization, product durability and making the process easier.
What is new?
The new idea was to choose Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). These are living cells which create living tissue.
The revitalization qualities of platelets have been known and used for 10 years in surgery in order to improve healing.
The PRP have a fluid consistency in the injection. Once in the dermal layer, it becomes viscous.
Easy to administer. Only a blood sample is needed.
For facial injections, PRP has been used in other countries for about 4 years (Switzerland, Spain, Asia, South Africa ..). In France, they are used and evaluated for about 2 years..
